Deep woods hike

That path above is a tiny, narrow, moss-covered "boardwalk" that suspends the hiker up and over the otherwise unpassable forest floor. Awesome, and a bit unnerving with a toddler strapped to your person. Gus has gotten extremely talented at shifting his weight in concert to how you're moving your body to make it easier. Neat!

Gus Sez: Scroll down for lots of posts!

Fifteen Months!

These are blurry, as Gus discovered running. He will literally run right out of his shoes. He also enjoys singing (tiny toddlers singing=hilarious), playing with his farm, and his new lovie--a plastic cow. Oh, and jokes in less-than-perfect taste involving the various noises that come from one's butt.

Happy Fourth!

Seattle

We had to spend a week in Seattle recently, and Gus enjoyed listening to Carly Simon in the giant sit-in speakers at the Experience Music Project, running (literally!) around the Seattle Center, eating sushi, and providing art critique at various museums (it turns out if it's a)big b)features animals or mamas nursing or children or c)moves or lights up or makes noise then it's BEAUTIFUL art).
