Because of a late start, we took a shorter, northern route (with the opportunity to see Gus' great grandma Eleanor, his paternal uncle Josh, and godfather Allen) vs. a longer, southern route where we missed out seeing friends and their little boys (soon! We were sad to miss you Alan, Emily, Cooper, Parker, Michael, Kristen, Karen, Nick, Susan and Troy!)
We were so grateful to see Gus' great grandmother (Matt's paternal grandma). This last Saturday afternoon, Eleanor passed away, and that she was able to visit with Gus again (who has so much fun with her), was so, so wonderful. We will miss Grandma so much--it means a great deal that we gained her good wishes for our new adventure. Eleanor was a dear and loving grandma and a super fun great grandma.
