Medieval Castle in the Woods
Deep in Hocking Hills State Park (a park noted for its caves, lakes, cliffs, deep woods, and well, hills) there is a castle--complete with suits of armor, a drawbridge, a dungeon, and a cranky dog named Dragon. This was our birthday destination. We were residents of the castle's medieval village, and stayed in the Woodcutter's Cottage (next to the Spinster's Cottage--why couldn't those crazy cats get together?). Gus was totally enchanted and explored every stone, knight, knoll, and fairy ring.

He certainly looks dubious about that first suit of armor, doesn't he? Not that I can blame him...you never know when they're going to come to life, a la Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
